Lovely site our second visit as visiting family close by. The huge deluxe pitches (12A / 13A) though quite expensive per night (family of 4 & dog) I think it's well worth it for the private space. Playground is good and the facilities clean and well maintained. Lots locally to see and do.
Matlock has a park with water area and mini train. We have also visited Matlock Farm park. Ate at a local garden centre which allowed the dog in and was lovely and reasonably priced.
Will definitely stay here again just wish it was closer to home as would stay more often.

Absolutely loved this site, what a great find. Booked for a weekend at the last minute and we wished we could have stayed longer. It reminded us of French sites where pitches are separated and private.
Great size, fairly level hardstanding pitch on a site which didn’t feel overcrowded and was beautifully laid out. Toilets and showers were kept really clean as was the dishwashing facilities.
Great dog walking area and fabulous open spaces and playground for the kids. So quiet and relaxing. Loads of places to visit locally.
Will definitely be back.

Fabulous site, so much so we keep coming back. The pitches are more than generous. Staff are so welcoming.
Toilets and showers are always spotless. (The only tiny criticism we would have is the shower curtains need to be moved back to stop them clinging to you) The whole site seems to have been designed with caravanners in mind rather than making money.
Other sites would have squeezed on another 50 vans and more. The entire campsite is peaceful with an amazing feeling of space.

We really enjoyed our visit to this site - the pitches are spacious and well maintained with plenty of room for awnings.
The facilities are always clean and well laid out. We'll definitely be back this year for another relaxing weekend - great job

Fantastic site with excellent facilities. Very clean & beautifully maintained. Superb dog exercise area. Huge pitches
Was very quiet when we were there, don't know what it would be like during school holidays. Will definitely be going again.

What a wonderful site. This was our first visit, will not be the last. The site was very clean, quiet and well landscaped. Our deluxe pitch was massive.
Facilities were excellent and very clean. The dog walk area was really nice.
Storm Brian could not deter us from having a wonderfully enjoyable stay at this site.

We have stayed here several times since our first outing with our first caravan 2 years ago. We have had link weeks, the odd weekend and even NYE - but unfortunately we will not be returning.
They have amended their policy on how many dogs you can bring and, having now experienced so many good sites, the facilities are simply not up to scratch for the price that is being charged.
The facilities block is dated and really cold during the winter months, and the continuous pushing for hot water in a drafty facility is no fun!
We also found that the customer service was a bit hit and miss and not all that friendly at times. The last time we stayed we had a monster RV parked next to us that was noisy as hell which detracted from our enjoyment on what was a beautiful sunny evening, but because it fell silent from about 2200, it was OK apparently.
The site wasn't very sociable in the last couple of times we visited if I am honest and I can relate to the earlier post about the size of the hedges. I like my privacy but that is probably a bit over the top.
It is disappointing but maybe they need to invest something back into the site

What a cracking site, enterance into site is great, large area to park while booking in, pleasant friendly staff, through coded barriers onto large individual pitch quiet a few have there own water and drain if you want to go down that route. Then the wife set off on her recce, toilets and showers were spotless, with a vegetable preparation room / microwave, laundry. A dog walk to die for, and a children's play area. There are plenty of dustbin / fresh water, waste water points. 10/10 for this site but it was quite, wonder what it's like in school holidays but hey ho ! One final point on the way in at the front of the wardens accommodation is a great water, disposal point for m/hs

We have visited this site twice as we loved it so much. Beautiful views and very quiet. We had with us 2 of the grandchildren aged 6 and 2 and 3 small dogs, we all had lovely walks thought the grounds, the boys loved the small playground with slides and swings and playing football.
There are clean warm toilets and showers, preparing kitchen etC if you need to use it, and a small shop with basic essentials on site. There is also a massive carboot just down the road if you like that sort of thing, and 2 garden centres a few minutes drive away.
Would loved to have gone back to the site again but when we rang up to book our usual spot the other day all went well until they asked how many dogs we had, when I said the same three little ones I was told we could only take 2 dogs now, we can't leave one at home alone so had to cancel the booking.
We felt so disappointed not to be returning. We said, but we always clean up after the dogs and they are well behaved and kept on leads at all times and was told its a new rule its been changed to 2 dogs only even though we've been twice before with them and had no problems at all it didn't matter.
I wonder how many other customers won't be returning because of this new rule.

Just spent 2 nights here, as attending a wedding in Matlock.
A well presented site with a reception which included a shop for your essential items, entrance is via a coded barrier.
A very clean and well laid out site with two good toilet and shower blocks which included a laundry room and pot washing facilities in each. Around the site you have plenty of water and waste points.
The pitches are of a good size but are all hard standing which for us having two dogs it would have been nice to have had grass along side, but there is a dog walking area on site.
Warding are all very friendly and keep a well presented site.
The surrounding area is very nice with Matlock and Matlock Bath only a 5 minute drive away and a few local garden centres within walking distance.
Would recommend this site to any one
