Good location for exploring robin hoods bay and the coastal walks
Friendly and helpful welcome and level site.
Could do with a motor home grey waste dump site in the main field near the toilet block instead of having to get to the one in the carpark area near reception where space is tight when cars are parked up.
The rubbish sites advertise recycling but no recycling facilities are provided - just a big skip for all the mixed waste.
As this is a farm site expect all the usual farming activities and associated noises and smells to be going on around the site
Expensive in low season

Superb location. Local bus takes you to Whitby and Scarborough and some nice walks around Robin Hoods Bay. Site ok but have stayed on better for less money. Toilet block clean with good facilities. Only two water taps, one outside the main gate which was not good. As mentioned before the quad bike used by the farm is noisy and the 'site rules' are really quite unbelievable and somewhat over the top. We would maybe return but purely for the location rather than what the site offers.

We've stayed on this site a couple of times for short breaks, each time choosing gypsey style pods. We found them to be extremely comfortable for two people with a microwave, fridge and kettle and seating which converts to beds for up to four people. The shower and toilet blocks are immaculate and it's a twenty minute walk through fields into Robin Hoods Bay. My only grumble would be that when I booked the receptionist tried to pressure me into staying for more nights. This also happened when my son in law booked.

The campsite was clean and well maintained and level ground. Didn't need a hammer for tent pegs as they pushed straight in.
The toilets were clean, but dated and stank of urine and could do with an upgrade.
Very expensive.
They state no noise after 11pm, but although I understand it's a working farm, there were tractors running back and forth til 1. 50am and then a quad rounding up the cattle for milking at 6am, when the dairyman had his radio on as he was doing his job.
No recycle bins. If that's a moan.

This was our first camping experience with our new campervan and I have got to say what a lovely site to start with. It was close to Robin hoods bay just a short walk down to the beach, can get a bit slippery in parts so good walking boots. The site itself was clean and tidy. The toilets were spotless and fresh whatever time of day you went. The showers were hot and clean. They have bernards take away food if you don't want to cook yourself, but cannot comment on the food as we didn't use it. Had a long walk to whitby with our border collie most of which he could be let off lead ( went down the old cinder track) lovely railway stop off along the way. Overall would definitely recommend this campsite.

Great Site. Brilliant Location and good pitches.
The site is organised over 4 fields with 2 sets of toilet/shower blocks. The pitches are generous, pretty flat and well maintained.
There is a direct path down to the beach at Robin Hoods Bay (10 - 15 minute walk).
The toilets are clean and well maintained but expect queues when the site is at full occupancy. We stayed at the end of July - arriving just before the school term ended and left on the Sunday after the schools had broken up. We didn't experience any queues on the Thursday or Friday (with only 2 fields open) but did on the Saturday and Sunday (with all 4 fields open).
There is a snack van on site which looked clean and offered a good choice of burgers, bacon butties etc.
There is a local pub 5 minutes walk away (the Fylingthorpe Arms) we didn't eat there but they did serve food. If you have a car pay a visit to the Three Jolly Sailors in Burniston (10 Mins Drive away) - Good home cook food and tremendous value (£74 for 4 people, 2 Courses + 2 rounds of drinks).
A great site I would highly recommend but expect a queue for the showers in high season.

We pitched our tent on Saturday next to a group of three tents who were together(groups not allowed supposedly. )Very noisy night. The facilities are clean and tidy with plenty of hot water. Only one fresh water tap in family tent field. This is a working farm but a quad bike was around from 5. 45am to late evening which did disturb the peace and quiet. Most of the time it was just going back and forth aimlessly up and down a field. The site does require a shop just maybe to sell the basics. It would have been nice to park at the side of the tent instead of in front as requested because your view is spoiled. The path to the bay is good and well marked. Plenty to see and do. Great walks to Ravenscar using the beach, cinder track or The Cleveland Way to see the seal colony or walk the other way to Whitby.

First time in our motorhome we booked into middle wood farm holiday park. The proximity to robin hoods bay was very good a bit of a walk but paths from the farm made it a pleasant walk. Facilities were very clean and provided the requirements for our visit, such as showers, water, toilets etc. There was a snack bar advertised but it didnot open while we were there, but it was a quiet time and there as a sign which said it was under new management.
The weather was very good and made our experience a perfect one, we will be booking again in the future.

This campsite has the best location you could wish for being close to robin hoods bay and the pub in flyingthorpe serves excellent meals at a good price. That's the good news, on the down side the pitches are small and open and hard to access for longer vehicles, the campsite has no shop or bar and the food van was not open. The toilets were not heated but they were clean and tidy.
At £29 per night this was one of the dearest sites we have been on and barring the location was not good value for money.

Stayed here in an icy February, only campervans and motor homes on site. Booked in efficiently and given instructions eg must reverse onto pitch at a specific side. Toilet block clean and in good condition with code access. Quiet at this time of year but imagine they are busy when tents there too. Good showers, on a timer but plenty of time to wash.
15 minute walk to Robin Hood's Bay on the footpath through farm and woodland - take a torch if you are walking back in the dark. Pub in the village 5 min walk seemed good too although we didn't eat there.
A good place for the depths of winter and far more level than the two nearby sites but too regimented for my tastes, but why others will love it.
