Lovely clean well organised site. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Excellent childrens play area.
3 local pubs are only a short walk away. (mind you beer fridge in awning is even closer)
When we stayed, we had the bonus of a hard standing serviced pitch at no extra cost. (If you want to be on hard standing, make sure you bring your sledge hammer and big strong rock pegs, under the gravel surface is alot of hardcore from the local quarry and I found it hard work.
All in all a thoroughly enjoyable bank holiday weekend.

Very large well organised site, with lots of space and excellent facilities. Can be quite a long walk to the loos from some of the tents. Pleasant staff, well kept site. Only a short stroll to the Plough which keeps good beer. Only downside for me personally is that I would like to see some soft landscaping, some trees etc to break up the large fields. Very handy for Barnsdale and all the activities at Rutland Water.

We stayed at this site for a long weekend in April / May this year, it has the best shower block we have seen, very clean and warm. The site felt very friendly and safe with lovely flat pitches and plenty of local walks. The only small disappointment was the noise from the A1 at night but unless you go further into the wilds it is difficult to get a really quiet site.

Visited this site last year, and thought it was fab so returned again this year.
Still has great showers/loos, spotlessly clean.
Very convenient for Rutland Water with lots to do there.
Staff more efficient than friendly compared to last year. If you don't like rules and regulations this is not the site for you as we found them to be rather officious.
No escaping the fact that it seems to be windy all the time as the site is very exposed, so take lots of extra tent pegs.
Will return as it's the nicest site near Rutland Water

First impressions - Very secure site with security coded gate. Staff very friendly and helpful. Spacious hard standing pitches and well maintained. Very clean and secure playground with lots for children to do, plus very clean white sand throughout playground area. Toilet blocks clean and tidy.
Fish & Chip van visits every Saturday evening between 5pm-8pm and we also had a visit from the Ice Cream Man!
Good dog walking area and a short walk to the Church, Shop, Post Office and three Pubs. We ate at The Wheatsheaf which was also very friendly and fantastic homemade food (cooked by the owners wife!).
Will definitely be back. Keep up the good work and thank you.

Spent a long weekend here, site busy but very well organised. Spotlessly clean throughout. Wardens friendly and very helpful. Safe for children with good play area. Short walk via path to village with P.O. / small shop. Three pubs, we used the Plough which had a good selection of real ales and a quiz night on Sunday. Plenty to see and do in surrounding area being so close to Rutland Water. We'll definitely be back for a longer stay in the future.

What can we say that has not already been said?
This really is a fantastic site.
Just returned from a 2 night weekend break.
Everywhere is spotless, wardens are very friendly, showers and toilets are the best we have ever been to. Short walk to Greetham village where there are 3 great pubs. We favored The Plough good food and beer.
Internet connection was a bonus.
Highly recommended and we will definitely be returning.
Well done to the people that run this site.

Had a very pleasant stay, all amenities very clean and orderly. Staff very friendly and helpful, excellent dog walking area where after a short walk you will arrive in Greetham village where we had lovely meals at Plough pub. Many local historic places to visit in and around the area and of course Rutland Water with it's very scenic walks. The towns of Oakham and Uppingham worth a visit, we will be happy to return to Rutland Caravn Park.

Only our second trip out with the campervan and we wanted a level, quiet, clean site with good showering facilities - we found that this site had everything we wanted and more. People were very friendly and helpful - both when we arrived and booked in and when our BBQ would not light! offers of help abounded! The wind was a little fierce but we were tucked up near a hedge and so it didn't disturb us too much.
The village was a pleasant walk away and my other halfs(OH)mobility scooter managed the pathway without a problem.
The local pub - The Plough - was very friendly and apparently the pickled eggs were excellent!
The shower block was sparkling clean and a total pleasure to use - my OH said the washing up facilities were good too.
The pitches were of a good size and our cable reached the hook up without a problem.
We look forward to staying at the site again soon.

Just returned from two nights in a tent with our mutley!
Site very clean and tidy, showers excellent (hotel standard). Water always hot, didn't have to wait for facilities. Don't expect to always have couples and families separated at busy times. We were on the adult pitch but as it was busy, there were children around. The fields are very large so wind can be a problem, we would suggest taking a wind break. The site was a little too well organised for our taste but it does run very effectively. The eggs you can buy from the shop are LARGE and according to the very friendly staff in the office are produced from very small chickens!
There was a Fish and Chip van that arrived on site on Saturday, from 5 until 8 which we found handy (to save cooking). Not sure if its there every Saturday so we would suggest you check!
Rutland water and Oakham only minutes away. For those of you who have families, the kids area looked good, slide, swing etc. All enclosed so Children can play while you relax!
Good washing up area at end of both Toilet blocks, lots of sinks.
