We love this site and usually come at least once a year with our children and their families. We stay on the family field which has a children’s play equipment area in the middle, so the youngsters are safe and can be seen at all times.

It has a lovely indoor swimming pool which can be booked out in half hour slots either for exclusive use or to share with others,

There is also a very good cafe serving lovely food from 8am breakfasts to 8pm evening meals. The Sunday lunch was immense with massive Yorkshire’s and a huge portion of meat. The plots are large with all amenities connected.

The village of Greetham is only a short walk away and has two lovely pubs - The Plough (serving very good pub grub meals) and the Wheatsheaf which has a very good, high quality restaurant.

We’d recommend both with hesitation. Rutland Water is only a short drive away, as are the lovely towns of Oakham and Uppingham.

It goes without saying, we’d recommend his site 👍👍👌👌

It's a lovely site pitches spread out and the stream and swings are a nice touch for the kids. Kids loved seeing the farm animals too. Toilets are modern and the shop is a lovely touch. The girls working in the shop were helpful and always friendly.

Only negatives for me are the communal bathrooms there is no need for this now I know it was to reduce families mixing but I watched many a person find one block of toilets full and pop to the other one. They could also do with a shower doors rather than curtains to stop the water flooding the toilets.

Overall it's a nice site and not too far from Rutland water.

After not visiting this site for over 15 years I was so surprised at how huge it now was. Still as well maintained. Excellent facilities and very large pitches.

It was lovely to come back after so long. We really loved using the lovely indoor pool.

A great treat to our mini break. Perfect place to camp and relax.

Looking forward to going again already.

Bear in mind this is a very popular site with units coming and going on a regular basis - so they must be doing something right.

We thought the site was very good. Very spacious and well kept, even though the site were short staffed due to covid. The staff cannot do enough for you and really make you feel welcome, nothing is to much trouble.

The facilities are perfect, and we'll kept and for a bonus there is an excellent on site cafe supplying quality food from 8am to 8pm not to be missed.

The site is well situated for the village of Greetham with 2 pubs/restaurants and a post office. The pubs are the Plough and the Wheatsheaf, we ate at the latter and the experience was fantastic - again to be missed.

The site is also only 7 miles from Rutland water an excellent place to visit. Lots of water sports available, cycle hire, good walking and cafes and snack bars a plenty.

Hopefully it won't be long before we visit again.

Turn off the main road at the scrap on the corner of the lane.

Travel down the heavily pot-holed lane to the scrap at the bottom and turn right to reception.

All entrances are secured by heavy steel gates to deter a known theft problem in the area.

The shop sells eggs produced by the owners own Battery hens nearby.

There is a pallet producing factory next door which is not unduly obtrusive, although the HGV traffic very early in the morning may dusturb some.

Many things to compliment, but spoiled.

We’ll laid out site with an adults only section and separate area for families with a playground. Swimming pool available for hire - we didn’t as it seemed expensive.

Two shower /w/c blocks with washing up facilities. Pleasant wardens.

My only criticism is that although pitches are large and with water EHU & drainage they were pre- allocated and all units were bunched together even though there was room enough to allocate every other pitch as there were large areas of the site with completely empty areas.

I prefer more peace & privacy rather than looking at others in front and to each side. We were only staying 2 nights so didn’t ask to move.

Village with store and 2 pub restaurants within 5 minutes

Booked at xmas for two weeks summer holiday. Fly fishing!

Entrance: potholes, rusty scrap.

Some unpleasant odours at times from pallet factory next door.

Staff: very pleasant. Inflexible about pitches. Pitch alocated was not on main site. No explanation given despite a number of complaints.

Two toilet blocks: one immaculate, the other grubby.

Owner runs battery hen factory. He

This site was an absolute dream for us.

Ample room, own water tap and drain plus electricity. We were on the adult only field which was quiet and peaceful.

Close to the village which has two pubs both dog friendly and doing food.

Only very small inconvenience was that we could not let our dog loose on the dog walk area.

We were impressed with the dog shower and wished we had one at home.
