Lovely site. We were on the adults only part. There was a dog walk and three pubs to get food if you wanted and no stress wondering whether they let dogs in!
The weekend was beautiful. My only bad point was the grey water waste was higher than the ground?! We use fully serviced so that is important to us. On tipping a bowl of water down the sink it came up in our shower tray!. The drain behind us wasn't finished so I'm hoping someone will realise this obvious mistake and next time we go there it will have been addressed.

Site is in the middle of very attractive countryside and reached by a long flat road. We were in the adults only area and the site wasn't very busy (pre school holidays). The pitch was spacious. A new toilet block had just been opened and was extremely pleasant with ample showers, toilets and two 'en-suites' in the ladies end. Decor was bright, with plenty of light and the facilities were clean. The block also contained a laundry, a disabled toilet and a dog shower.
We didn't use the pool so cannot comment - it looked good through the windows though.
The surrounding area is very pretty with typically 'English' villages and several small towns within a few miles - Stamford, Uppingham, Oakham etc. We also visited Leicester, where the Richard III exhibition was worth a visit. Rutland Water was also very attractive and had lots of walks and other activities.

Never mind the new toilet block that is not yet completed, never mind the chimney (well away from the campsite) this is a top class site.
The wardens are a delight and make the work look easy, which of course it won't be, the site runs on oiled wheels and nothing is too much trouble for the staff.
It's very dog friendly with a beautiful dog walk, and the two village pubs except dogs.
Good for children with swimming pool and plenty of space.
Don't forget to visit Rutland Water, it took us three visits before we could take it all in.
10/10 and five stars, do visit. JH 51

A very nice site with good facilities. Easy to get to from the A1. We had lunch at the Plough in Greetham, a very easy walk from the site.
The pool on site was nice but seemed a bit of a faff having to book a time slot to use it. We were the only ones to use the pool at that time. I suppose it would be different in high season.
The wardens were very helpful when we had a minor issue with our water system. They pointed us to the Coop in Oakham. Easy to find and a large car park.
Rutland water is a short drive away with nice cafes and walks. The car parks are motorhome friendly.
Yes we would go back.

A second visit and another great stop at this site. Wardens again very friendly and helpful. We stayed on the Adult section and its toilets were in the process of being updated and enlarged; the one toilet block in use was kept very clean. This site is ideal for Rutland water; we walked from the village on 'The Viking way' to Rutland Water and used the road back (11mls).

Just returned from a very pleasant stay at this Park. Reception staff were very polite and helpful on arrival. The site is perfectly located for a short stroll into the village where you can find 3 pubs (2 of which we ate at). There is some building work going on at present but this did not present any problems. The new swimming pool looks lovely although we didn't have a dip on this occasion. We were given a guided tour of the new lodges by a very helpful lady. The toilets and showers are clean and adequate although whilst getting dried from a shower, the lights went off and it became a little difficult. The hose on the hairdryer in the ladies was broken and had previously been repaired with black tape so one hopes this will be replaced very soon. A nice place for a short break.

The welcome we received was lovely and relaxed also the transfer of information. We were given our pitch Number (132) and security card to activate any barriers and full details of the local village facilities. Fish and chips from the site tearoom were enjoyed after we’d settled in.
Our pitch was next to the toilet block which was kept spotless, plenty of hot water to be had and a high hedge between which disappeared said 'block’. The noise of people coming and going didn't wane; us being on their main route which was to our front; however, it was great for ‘the normal campsite activity’ of 'people watching’. Our pitch was level, had water and EHU.
The only criticism of this pitch (and the few next to us) would be the privacy of the chemical toilet disposal point; the brick surround is not high enough (a point of people watching not required; as bacon butty is being eaten). This would be easily rectified by a 6ft high wicker fence being attached to the brickwork!
Taking everything into account; would we return? Yes, a positive yes! The site is very well run, the staff are friendly and very helpful; the small shop, in reception, sells fresh baked bread to order and ready within the hour (lovely)! Also the tearoom previously mentioned does breakfasts; which we'll use next time. This site is within easy reach for Rutland Water, distance 4mls; which we biked and went all the way around Rutland Water and back (total 26miles)!
All that’s left to mention is the very good Sunday roast beef at ‘The Plough’; within the village and is a 5min lovely walk from the site.
Thanks to the staff for their hard work and pleased to say we will return.

My wife & I stayed for a week, we booked well in advance to make sure they had a slot, going off the reviews seemed popular, which it is.
The pitches are generous, flat, well presented, ours was on gravel, if we returned I would ask to be on grass, only our preference. We were on the adult section which was lovely and quiet. The staff very helpful, toilets, showers clean, as was the site. The village a short stroll away, 3 pubs, all have guest beers [ pricey ] good food. Oakham, Stamford are a short drive away, with other hostelries on the way. A good central location, which we hope to return to maybe next year.

Just came back from a long weekend here, Friday till Monday, less than an hour from home. So ideal for a weekend.
All I can say is that it's brilliant, easy to find, helpful wardens, well laid out, nice flat pitches, great kids play area, nice dog walking area, amazing swimming pool which we went to twice.
Clean, tidy and well kept.
Will definitely be returning.
