Just returned from our first visit to this great park. The site is in a great location, being 4 miles from Poole and Wareham. The site is perfect for dog owners with a huge 'off lead' dog walk. Directly from this area is a walk to the village pub - The Peter's Finger. This is also dog friendly and serves great food. You can even get a voucher from the site for a free bottle of wine when you eat at the pub.
The site offers a good blend off tent, grass and hard standing pitches, so there should a pitch to suit everyone. There is a small but well stocked shop and the facilities are clean and of a good standard. My only concern would be how busy the facilities would be during the high season. We visited at a quiet time and had no problem at all. The site is generally very well maintained and all the staff are friendly and approachable.
I loved the site and will definitely be returning again soon.

Only stayed here for the night as we were getting the ferry from Poole early the next morning. Staff at check in were very helpful and bike to show you your pitch. Didnt use the showers etc but walked to the local pub and had a decent meal including the drinks voucher the site gives you. Looked a good site with plenty of open space. Not sure I would holiday there but will use again for a ferry overninght stio.

We were welcomed on to the site and directed to our pitch by very friendly staff. The reception/ shop was well stocked and we were able to order daily papers. Our pitch was perfect for our RV It had all the facilities and was nice and level as well as being in a nice quiet part of the park, .
The toilet blocks were spotless, the showers excellent and with background music playing. The two local pubs both served good ale and the food looked delicious, all though we did not sample any. The local craft centre was an unexpected surprise and we enjoyed coffee and giant Teacakes in the small restaurant/ cafe.
We would and indeed intend to return to this lovely park. We went at a quiet time being the 18/19th April. I would imagine it can be quite hectic and noisy if full, Children's facilities and playground were very good. I love kids but I do like to get away from them sometimes to enjoy the peace and quiet so my only recommendation would be to have the far section as a possible Adult only section.

We have just returned from a fantastic week at South Lytchett Manor. We arrived on Good Friday at around 5pm and because they were very busy we had assistance positioning our caravan rather than using our motor mover. This was great as we were in position in mins.
The site is fantastic and has all the facilities you would need for a great camping/caravanning trip. The wash rooms were immaculate and never had to wait once even over the busy bank holiday. The shop stocks everything you need to tide you over until you can get to the bigger shops and also stocks a good range of camping gear that you might need in an emergency. Site held an Easter egg hunt on Easter Sunday for the kids and our 2 loved it getting a good sized egg at the end of it.
Location of the site is great within easy reach of all Dorsets main attractions. The pub down the road St Peter's finger is great for food and free bottle of wine with a voucher is a bonus.
Would highly recommend this site and would definitely use again if down in Dorset. Just wish it had been a bit warmer but no rain and plenty of sun. My parents are there now and then my sister for a week so in total pitched for 3 weeks.

Easy site to find and access. Arrived to a friendly welcome and given a map to direct us to the fully serviced pitches. Our pitch was level and easy to navigate onto. The site was clean and well manicured as were the facilities. There was lots of information in the hut about the surrounding area.
Our son loved the kids play area and it was a good standard.
We picked this site for a number of reasons. Firstly, its location for the Isle of Purbeck and New Forest enabled us to visit Beaulieu Motor Museum and The Fleet Air Arm Museum on wet days. We visited Corfe Castle, Arne RSPB reserve, Studland Bay, Sand Banks, Swanage and went fossil hunting at Kimmerage bay.
Secondly, it had excellent reviews, although I'm not entirely sure why, so onto the not so good. I will add that some of my issues are beyond the site's control.
Noise! the lovely chorus of morning birdsong was accompanied by the drone of traffic on the A35 punctuated only by the scream of motor cycles caning it down to the butty van at Poole harbour.
The letting of the school floodlit all weather football court at the back of our pitch kept our young son awake until 9. 30pm 2 nights and it appears to be church bell ringing practise on a Thursday between 8-9pm all fine if you don't have small children.
The first night after showering I walked back to the van in wet trainers as the lousy spray head on the shower sprayed under the cubicle into the supposedly dry area, (lesson learned). Push buttons AAAAAAGGGGH! at a 5 STAR site come on. Amenity blocks weren't particularly warm especially as we had a bitterly cold easterly wind at the time.
I think the road noise would be less with the usual south westerly wind and a bit of foliage on the trees.
Despite my gripes this is a good site, but not a cheap site.

Enjoyed our stay here Easter monday week. As already mentioned by others the welcome is warm and informative. The park itself is tidy and clean and the facilities are very good. Found the wifi to be a bit hit and miss, sometimes it worked other times not but the signal was never strong. The tv hook up was superb with freeview channels all with very strong signals(Either take a five meter cable with you or they are available to buy on site)
My caravan Aerial worked ok too as I tried it but wasn't as strong as the site feed. I do have a minor gripe which was that when I went to shower one block was being cleaned(no problem with that) but the one I then had to use only had cold water running from hot taps-showers. Made shaving and then showering not the best. This I think could be a problem when the site is full as they were busy in the mornings with people waiting. I'd advise either going early or late to beat the rest or otherwise expect a wait or a cold shower. Not a major issue though and doesn't spoil the experience really. Every other day I got a hot shower and didn't have to wait long. Overall it is a very decent place but I personally wouldn't pay the top money that is charged during the summer holidays.

We stayed at this site over Easter and it appeared to be full. Lovely site, very clean toilet block with plenty of hot water, good hairdryers that actually dry your hair quickly (very important for us girls!) and they even have piped music.
The grounds are kept very clean and tidy and they have a quiet rule after 10. 30pm which is brilliant if you are an early riser. There is a shop on site which caters for your needs and the eggs from the chickens are sold in the shop. The staff were very friendly and helpful and always had a smile for you.
Outside the gate is the bus stop so it is very easy to get around and only a short ride into Poole for the shops and the Quay. We will definitely be coming back to this site again. It is a short walk into the village for 2 pubs and two churches and there is a lovely craft centre and cafe next door.

This was our second visit this year. This site is lovely and clean. The staff are friendly and very helpful with local information. The shower/toilets are spotless. There is a very nice pub within walking distance of the site that do very good food. We will be coming back to this site again and again. The chickens on site provide eggs that are for sale in the shop which is also stocked with all you need for your stay at very good prices.

This is 2nd visit to this site and found site well cared for.
Shower block warm and extremely clean with piped music pleasing to the ear.
Staff extremely helpful and only willing to please. Very knowledgable and will take the time to explain where local points of interest are.
Just outside local bus stop to visit Poole or Weymouth.
Just a short walk a very friendly pub. St. Peter's finger.
Rebooked for September and would highly recommend a holiday here.

We stayed at South Lytchett manor site this week. The facilities were first class. The welcome on arrival was so warm it almost melted the snow. There are lots of pros, even a sign reading 'feel free to pick the herbs' from the garden by the reception. The heated toilet / shower blocks were 5 stars, very clean and smelled inviting, with the pipped gentle music to relax you.
At the grey water/ toilet empty point they had a hand sanitizer gel unit for our use.
The buses from outside the site gate every hour to Poole, then onto Bournemouth, and the other way to Swanage and Weymouth, were so easy. Just book for a great stay. We will be booking for another stay soon.
