We arrived on our second leg of our south coast tour on the thursday after the bank holiday, we were checked in with no fuss and even escorted to our pitch, the gentleman even provided a paving slab as hard standing for the motorcycle we were on. The site itself is lovely and quiet, we were in the bottom field near toilet block 2 although block 3 was just as close. The toilet blocks were excellent, well looked after and no hassle getting a shower whenever we needed one. The laundry came in handy for drying the soggy bike gear as the weather was a bit hit / miss! The site had a nice looking playground and games room which the little ones would have loved had they been there. I have to disagree about the previous post regarding noise from the A35 as we never heard the traffic although the road was just the other side of the wood. An all round excellent site, we visited the two pubs in the village. St Peters finger and the bakers arms and found both to be reasonable and the food was very good. Lots to see and do locally so would visit again without a doubt. Well done guys, the site is a credit to you.

My Partner and I stayed at this camp site from Friday 9th till Sunday 11th May. The weather was great and we both had a great weekend. This was my first camping trip, I’d stayed in a caravan when I was younger however there was always the attractions of holidays abroad while growing up. This site is brilliant for a novice camper or even any camper. The site is about a 10min drive to Poole town centre and then about 10/15min drive to Bournemouth. The staff are pleasant and helpful. We arrived at about 7.45 on Friday evening, and booked in with no hassle or problems at all. We were directed to our site, and explained the do’s and don’ts. The individual sites are of good size and massive for a 2 person tent. Most sites had electric hook up – something which we didn’t use. The play ground looked good for the little ones – the laughter coming from there certainly sounded like they were enjoying themselves. The shower and toilets block was clean and tidy and was nice to have some music playing while washing! The little shop was well stocked with toys, and food. There is also a Tesco Extra about a 10min drive from the site which is 25hrs.
There is a pub 600yrds in either direction of the site. We went to the one of the right (as coming out of the gates, the gates are behind you). Served good food, and was a pleasant walk from the site (if you both wanted to drink).
A good site, would def. Recommend it and suspect we will be back during the summer!

Just returned from staying at this campsite over the May bank holiday weekend, and we had a fantastic time.
The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful, and the children loved the play equipment. The shop seemed to stock the right things.
The campsite was busy, but the showers and toilet blocks were clean, we didn't ave to queue and there was always plenty of hot water for washing up. And despite thinking the piped music was a needless frill, it was actually nice to listen to the radio whilst doing the washing-up!
We were staying on a pitch just behind the office and toilet block 1 (there are 3), near the climbing frame, and despite some inital reservations about the potential noise it turned out to be the perfect pitch for us. With 3 small children, the toilets were right there when we needed them, and we could sit in the tent and watch them play on the climbing frame.
One thing you probably need to be aware of though is there is quite a bit of noise from the A35. You will get used to it, and it's not obtrusive - but if you're expecting total peace you wont get it. And also, for some reason, the birds think dawn starts at 2am, and being in such beautiful surroundings there are LOTS of birds. I can think of worse things to hear!

Just got back from a 2 night stay, apart from the weather (ha ha) this site lacks for nothing. The owners are so friendly and helpful, we had a tent pole snap and they did everything they could to help us fix it, even delve into parts of the garage which they hadn't entered before. The shower blocks are to die for, ultra clean and tidy, and the piped music whilst you are having your shower is just brilliant, the rest of the site is as clean and tidy as the shower block. We visited one of the two pubs in the village, the Bakers Arms, food great, and if you go now (spring) there is an offer on for 2 free drinks if you order 2 main meals.
The shop on site is well stocked with essentials and if you have young children plenty of sweets. There is so much to do within a 20 minute drive, Bovington Tank musuem, Monkey World, which is well worth a visit, plus you have Bournemouth and Poole near by if you want the shops, and who could forget the New Forest, all in all top site, plenty to do and yes we will be going back.

Visited here for a short stay last Autumn. We camped near the entrance to the site, by the facilities as the other areas were apparently closed. The welcome was very friendly, and the pitch sizes seemed adequate, however we were only in a smallish tent (3mx5m). The loos and showers here are absolutely top notch, clean, warm, music playing and lovely showers with a place to put your clothes without them getting wet. The whole washing area is like a bathroom showroom infact, it is lovely. Unfortunately being so close to the entrance there seemed quite a lot of traffic noise from the adjacent road, but as we live away from a main road in the country, perhaps we just noticed it more. Anyway will definitely be visiting again sometime soon, very enjoyable stay in a lovely part of the country.

We stayed here for two nights in April this year and have nothing but good things to report. As many of the reviews have said, it has good facilities and shower block is very clean. The campsite grounds are also very well kept. I would happily recommend any stop over here.

Stayed here for a long weekend over the Easter Bank Holiday and (despite weather!) we had a very warm welcome. Facilities great - clean and modern - and on-site facilities (well-stocked shop and fun playground for keeping the kids occupied) very good. Also good nearby ameneties. Would definitely return and recommend for all campers.

Wonderfully clean site, and the toilets and showers were truly spotless. Very attentive, caring owners. Pitches level and flat. We stayed for a long weekend. Site very quiet from about 9 at night till gone 9 in the morning.
Children (12 and 14) had a great time riding their bikes in the site and in the surrounding area, and doing the Easter Egg hunt. Dog walking facilities very good. Local pub, St Peter's Finger, serves excellent food and beer; child and dog friendly, but recommend booking (especially if you want to take your dog in, as you need a table in the bar area to enable this). Small shop on site very helpful; large supermarkets relatively close.
Great area to explore. We'd recommend this site to anyone.

Just came back from a very windy easter break. This site was fabulous, had everything we needed despite this awful easter weather. New shower block was up and working excellent facilites, although the floor did get quite muddy, but they were cleaned daily. Shop well stocked, and 2 nice pubs in walking distance. Owners kindly show you to your pitch and you often will see them around checking the facilites around the site.
In all this is a lovely small, quiet pleasant site. You can tell that a lot of thought and money has been spent on it for this year.

We booked South Lytchett Manor for 6 nights in September but loved it so much we booked an extra night. The park is very welcoming and looks great especially when arriving from a long journey!
The first impressions are excellent with the new shop and games room, the hanging baskets really finish them off nicely. Check-in was quick and easy and directions to the pitch were great. We were allowed to pitch wherever we wanted due to the park being quiet so we chose a nice pitch with easy access to the facilities. They have really spent the money well, the toilet/ shower blocks are fantastic, always clean and very warm which was great when the nights were cold. The wash-up rooms were clean and came in very handy. The up keep of the park was excellent the grass was kept trimmed which was really appreciated when running to the toilets in PJs when the grass was wet. We really enjoyed our stay and would like to thank South Lytchett Manor for their hospitality, everyone was really friendly and accommodating and the facilities were the best we've seen.
The location is great, good access to a dual carriageway which meant it was a great location for visiting Poole, Bournemouth and the New Forest. There is also a large Tesco nearby as well as plenty of great country style pubs. I would love to come back to this area as the scenery was fantastic and even the weather was good!
We would definitely stay at South Lytchett Manor again as they really have got it just right.
