Lovely campsite!
We had an electric hook up pitch and I stayed with my eldest daughter for two nights.
The owners were very welcoming and friendly and there was a lovely family atmosphere here.
The pitch was smooth and flat and very close to all the facilities.
The washing up room was clean. The ladies shower room and toilet was luxurious.the shower cubicles were large and had a seperate area to keep your clothes dry. There are hair dryers which were brilliant and the toilets/shower rooms were cleaned on a regular basis.
A very well stocked shop where you can book your favorite newspaper.
Ten minutes walk away is a lovely little pub that serves excellent food, albeit on the pricey side it was well worth it for their Sunday roast.
Five miles drive from Poole where there is plenty to do and see.
I loved this place and will definitely be going again.

We spent a long day in April looking for a site to stay for the season, this site came out on top by far. The toilet block is second to none, and all the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The main difference for me was how accommodating the owners are, which was something I found rare when visiting other sites in the surrounding area. We have now been for three weekends and are looking forward to spending many weekends here this year and for years to come.

Wow – what an improvement! Been staying on this site for 6 years and had decided last year would be our last as the site was really old, tired and unloved. Our kids nagged us to retry under the new owners and we are so glad the we did – what a difference. Smiling, friendly owners, vast improvement to facilities and not a vast hike in price – brilliant! If we can ask for just one thing though – please, please South Lytchett improve the kiddies play park, with over half a million pounds of investment spend 5-10K on a stonking central play area with a safety flooring (bark chips or the alike) would make such a difference to the quality of holiday offered to your younger campers. Well done though great start to achieving that top slot for Dorset.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at this site. The location is great for getting out and about and everyone connected with running the site is pleasant and helpful. Whilst some people felt the pitches were a little on the small side, for our 4 man tent they were fine. The new shower block is fantastic and the owners ensure the site is secure as possible with the coded barriers and by closing the gates at nights. A few things let the site down over this week-end: We stayed in the far field which is nice in that it's quiet and has a good 'campsite' feel to it. However, the nearest 'facilities' are old and desperately need updating. The owner did mention these were opened for emergency purposes due to the number of visitors they were expecting over the bank holiday. But, the site was not full and these facilities could not cope! Friday evening and all was fine, by Saturday night I was washing up with cold water in the dark, and avoiding 2 of the ladies toilets as they had packed-up. By Sunday morning there was little or no water coming through at the sinks and it was all cold. By contrast all week-end the water from the water points came out so fast, half of it watered the ground while the other half was on your clothes. I hope the owners are planning a revamp for the 'emergency' facilities soon as this really is the only thing letting the site down.

WOW! booked for 3 days and stayed 2 weeks! This was myself and my family's first time camping and the people at Lytchett Manor must have done something right, the new shower blocks were amazing you even have music playing to you whilst you shower! There was plenty of stuff for the kids to do including an Easter Egg hunt on Easter sunday. The childrens play area was safe and enjoyable well my kids spent alot of time on it so it must have been. The games room was another hit with the kids and my husband when the golf and football was on!?! There is a shop which stocks everything you need and if they dont have it they will get it for you. There are walks you can do around the site or we walked 10 mins into the village to the local pub, the people there are very friendly and obliging. Well done to the staff and new owners of South Lytchett Manor we really enjoyed our stay and have booked to go back in May!

This site was the carefully researched venue for our first camping trip, so we have nothing to compare it to, but we were very pleased with our choice! We were given a pitch on the wooded side of the main drive at the end of a row of caravans and motor homes. Following their lead we pitched facing the road, but some campers who arrived after us pitched facing away, thus giving themselves more privacy. Our pitch was a couple away from the toilet block - just the right distance for us. It was very impressive - ladies were spotlessly clean with loads of free hot water, Hairdryers, fresh flowers and music! OH reports very clean gents facilities but strangely didn't notice whether they had flowers or not! Ditto the washing up area. There has been a thread about the £2 admin charge at this site. It took us a bit by surprise, but lots of other sites seem to charge extra for hot water, hairdryers etc - I guess its all income generation and £2 didn't seem excessive to us - 25p per person per night! The staff were friendly, the site was clean, tidy and well tended and mostly level. The nearest pub, St Peters Finger appeared family friendly but both food and drink were expensive - OH rewarded his tent erecting prowess with a trip there but at £3 a pint it was a quick session! Our only minor quibble was that apart from a seperate bin for glass, there were no facilities for re-cycling, or if there were we didn't see them, and we tend to look out for that type of thing. We would definitely return to this site but with another 30+ sites in our virtual brochure it wont be for a couple of years! It will be interesting to see how this newly refurbished site stands the tests of time.

We visited this site over the Easter period and everything was still new, having only just opened during the first week of the Easter holidays. The new toilet blocks are great, they are regularly cleaned and have music, hot water, hairdryers and have all the things you need, including baby bath and changing mat. The toilets had showers, individual and group sinks and lots of toilets. There was also a disabled toilet. The staff at the site were all really friendly and helpful. The shop was also new and was reasonably priced and had all the essentials. The only thing that was not working was the washing machine and tumble dryer, but the wash room had sinks in it. We are definitely going again.

Many congratulations to the new owners of this park. Now with more land, they have quite literally transformed this site in a short space of time. The new toilet and bathroom cabins are simply fantastic with fresh flowers, heating and music. The decor is divine together with modern up to date hairdryers. The new shop is well stocked and there is a modern games room together with TV. There are good tent areas, and a children's playground. The caravan pitches are bigger now length ways and can take large twin axle vans and still have a sitting out area at the front or back. The now accessible woodland is a joy to behold with wild flowers and twittering birds. Ideal for walking with the dog, and there is even a park bench where you can rest awhile and look out over the beautiful open countryside. With all new electrics and the added bonus of a satellite aerial we were able to receive perfect TV reception as well as all the free view channels. All the staff are very friendly and most helpful in all aspects, and I would not hesitate to recommend this park to anyone.

We were looking for a place to camp over the Easter break and wanted a place both reasonably priced but also in a good location. We could not get better than South Lytchett Manor Caravan & Camping Park.
On arrival, we parked in the small car park and entered the shop which doubles up as the check in area too.
The shop is well stocked with food, wine and beer as well as those bit's you sometimes forget (Matches etc!) and there is a games room which has a pool table, a couple of arcade machines, a TV and some leaflets on things to do.
Check in is smooth and takes no time and the owners give you a map of where your pitch is.
You make your way along what can only be described as a long driveway along which caravans and motor homes are in pitches. We were camping right at the bottom of the park. The park was mostly booked up but didn't give the impression that everyone was cramped in.
The pitch size is more than enough and very generous with electricity available if needed.
The toilet block is newly built and is excellent and clean. Music plays throughout the day and night and is well maintained with toilet roll and hand wash. The showers are good, powerful and clean and there is a space incorporated within the individual shower cubicle to put your clothes etc.
There are sinks also with individual cubicles with a light over the mirror which are also clean and well looked after.
There is no rubbish on ground and the rubbish bins are collected daily.
The owners walk the grounds often to make sure everything is ok and stop to ask if everything is ok and which is a nice touch.
The location of the campsite couldn't be better with an ASDA to be found in Poole just 10 minute drive away. However, a few things in the campsite shop were cheaper than ASDA which is very surprising!
There is also a local pub which is 10 minute walk down the road which sells excellent food.
All in all, we were completely satisfied with our stay here and couldn't find any faults here. We hope to come back again very soon.

Excellent facilities, including state of art toilet and shower blocks. Very friendly staff. Can also recommend the bacon rolls cooked on site the small cook house caravan (brand new and very clean). Perfect site for a family stay.
