This is an attractive campsite which we would highly recommend and happily return to.
We were near the children's playground which suited us. There was also a field for ball games. Our kids loved visiting the cows at the gate.
The toilet/shower blocks were nice and modern and very clean, partly because they were checked / cleaned frequently but also because mops and cloths were provided for you to clean up after yourself. The showers were thermostatically controlled and there was a baby bath in the family shower room. We rarely had to queue and if we did it wasn't for long. There was a microwave (with cleaning wipes) and laptop desk (with wifi) in the information centre for general use.
The site was always quiet by 10:30 and there were always friendly wardens about. Good spacing between units so even though the site was full it didn't feel cramped. The shop was fine, we only bought bits and bobs in there.
We visited: Isle of Wight, Brownsea Island, Adventure Wonderland (using Tesco vouchers) ideal for approx 3-9yr olds, Poole Park, and Studland Beach. We ate out at the Courtyard cafe, across the field, which was fine though the breakfast was on the fatty side for us. Also ate at St Peter's finger pub in the village and got our free bottle of wine - the campsite give you a voucher. The Fighting Cocks pub, opposite Amazon World on the Isle of Wight does lovely food.
All in all, worth the high pitch price as far as we're concerned.

Stayed at this camp for two weeks.
Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly staff who showed us to our pitch which was lovely and flat and close the the toilet block.
It was a bit of a walk to the site shop, but as we had good weather it wasn't a problem. We have four Children from 4-14 and there was always something for them to do. The two eldest especially liked the internet room. The two youngest loved the chickens which you was aloud to feed, and the park.
We went to book again for this year and found the price for two weeks had gone up by about £200.00. It was nice there but not that nice. Very disappointed and will be looking elsewhere this year

We visited this campsite in a large 8 birth tent in July of 2010. Although a car journey from anywhere apart from a couple of village pubs, the campsite was spotlessly clean, quiet although busy because of the summer holidays, and child friendly.
Our tent was pitched with the trailer tents and larger tents on the top field, which was very convenient for a very well stocked shop, and friendly staff and the shower and toilet facilities.
The toilet block was the best I had ever seen on a campsite. There were several showers, of which we never had to wait long. The facilities also had private washing areas and clean cloths on the sides to clean up after yourself.
The play area in the centre of our field was safe if a little big for my then 2 year old, although she would be perfectly fine now. The site was good value for money and I will probably revisit another time.

Just spent a week at this well run site, we were booked onto a deluxe pitch which had water, drainage, electric hook up and tv hook up and also a picnic table. We were shown to our pitch as soon as we checked in by one of the wardens who was very efficient and told us all we needed to know about the site. Wardens were always at hand if required but we never felt under the spotlight so to speak.
Facilities are spotlessly clean and well maintained with 3 toilet /shower blocks in total, laundry room in middle block. The on site shop stocked necessities and was open for most of the day ( unlike some sites) there was a chicken run that my 5 year old daughter loved to visit on a daily basis which kept the shop stocked with free range eggs.
The site is well place for visiting Poole ( 3.5 miles) and surrounding area, Monkey world is worth a visit as well as Lulworth cove and Durdle door. There is a pub within 10 mins walk which serves very good food - ST Peters Finger (free bottle of wine with a voucher from the site )
There are supermarkets within 15 mins drive, Tesco and Asda, Smaller village stores are nearer. As mentioned in other reviews the cafe at the craft centre is handy and serves good home fayre - recommended
Within 2 days of returning home and checking the school calendar for next year,we have booked 2 weeks in August 2011 - enough said
Would thoroughly recommend to any one

Great campsite. Big, but nicely divided up and plenty of facilities.
Just spent 5 nights at South Lytchett Manor and couldn't fault it. The toilets are very clean, showers free and always hot. The whole site is well looked after and always plenty of staff around. The team were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble and they always had a cheery smile.
The shop is well stocked, prices are reasonable and its open all day and into the evening, which was well appreciated.
Good location too, with plenty of places around to visit and a pub St Peters Finger within walking distance, which was doing a good trade from the campsite, perhaps helped by the voucher from reception for a free bottle of wine or 2 free pints when ordering two main meals.
A trip into Poole on Saturday evening found a number of places to eat and a few lively pubs along the Quay. Cost around £10 each way for a taxi. Bournemouth is more lively, but £20 - £30 each way for a taxi, although buses do run from the site.
A few good bike rides in the local area, within reach of quiet roads from the site. Information available from the kiosk on suggested routes and all local places of interest, and staff keen to provide more information.

Only our second camping trip but it was a very nice experience.
The site is a large site but offers plenty of facilities and our pitch was serviced with electric, water (between 4 caravans) and a TV aerial point.
The toilets and showers were very clean and tidy and generally good facilities
When we arrived on site, we were taken to our pitch and helped park up which we were grateful for as we are still learning.
The site is kept immaculately and does prove popular with an on site shop and people on hand to help. Free range chickens to get your breakfast from.
There are a few local pubs to walk to, the closest a little dear but very nice. The one a bit further is a little cheaper both offer a good selection of food.

We've just come back from a long weekend at this site - having stayed there last August. This trip, we brought friends along for a long weekend and it was just as good as the last trip - but with much better weather.
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone.
Chickens are a great touch and the fresh eggs were a fantastic treat (a three yoked bantum egg was a first for the kids!).
The shop is very well stocked and at very reasonable prices - the wine they stock is pretty good too.
Will definitely book again and for longer.

Excellent two week stay on a very friendly site, Facilities excellent, fresh flowers in the shower blocks, a lovely touch
My daughter enjoyed feeding the chickens and having fresh eggs for breakfast every day. All the staff couldn't do enough for you, very friendly and I envied the way of life
I did not want to go home and are already looking to see if we can go back in August. Would highly recommend this site

This is a really nice campsite. We stayed for 5 days in our tent and were extremely blessed with fantastic weather. The park is really clean and the washroom facilities etc were of a very high standard, though there were only 3 showers in our nearest block, we must have timed our visits there well as we didn't have to queue often.
We paid for a larger pitch which was generous in size it also had tv aerial connection which was handy. The location is perfect for visiting Poole, Bournemouth and surrounding beaches.
The staff on site were really nice and helpful and available via the shop until 9pm each evening. The shop was well stocked and not too overpriced. There was a small children's playground which seemed to be pretty popular as well as a games room with a pool table and a few arcade games.
For fantastic local fish and chips we found a really nice one on the road to Poole called 'Always Frydays' which was really good. My only critisicm is that the site is a little pricey - for 2 adults,3 kids and a dog on a larger pitch was £42 each night.
Overall though I would recommend this site as it was tranquil, very clean and well located for the Dorset coast.

We have just got back from a weeks, extended to 9 days, stay at the site.
On arriving we were given a great welcome by the staff in the reception. We were then shown to our pitch and given an over view of the electric hook up / water / tv and the shower / toilet block as well as the rest of the site.
We were sited on the main driveway as we booked late and there were no large pitches left on one of the fields so we took up a pitch and a half!
The showers/toilets are kept immaculate throughout the day, and inspected regularly, despite the site being full and one day when there was rain. Loo rolls and soap are kept well stocked, each basin has a cloth so you can wipe down after use and there is long handled blade and mop to clean out the showers after you finish.
The staff regularly wander around the site checking to make sure everything is OK and are always friendly and say hello and are willing to lend a hand if needed.
Shop is well stocked and open till late (9pm) at peak times, papers can be ordered and collected from here, well stocked information kiosk complete with free wifi.
Children's play area is good with a range of things for most ages to play on.
Separate small dog walking area on part of the site with information on places to go for longer walks
Trying to see if we can fit another visit in later this year, if not we shall have to wait till next
