We couldn't recommend South Lytchett Manor highly enough. Especially during this difficult period of COVID-19.
Fantastic site, friendly and helpful staff and excellent facilities.
We have been twice now, and will make this our go to site for this area.

Great site. Lovely and clean, with good COVID social distancing measures in place.
The staff are very friendly and helpful and there is a well-stocked shop open every day.

We have stayed at this site twice a year for about 4 years now. June & December. We love the area, and this is such a friendly, well kept site, that hopefully, we can make this a tradition for years to come!
The shop is really well stocked in June, (not so in December, but then, not so many people around). Newspapers can be ordered on arrival during winter (on site during summer). The chickens are happy to lay fresh eggs for you - sold in the shop & the smell of the bread is wonderful.
In the summer months, there is a small barista wagon on site, with brioche rolls etc. Nearby is Dylans cafe (although we were disappointed with this Decembers Christmas meal compared to the last two years!)- a very friendly hairdressers (not actually on the campsite, but through a small gate in the site close to the small courtyard of shops).
The showers & loos are award winning - although there are sites with more "up-market" facilities.
The dog walking field is nice & large - and with so many places to visit close by, it's a beautiful place to base yourselves.

An immaculately kept site in respect of both green areas an amenities.
Pitches are generous in size and roadways easy to navigate without encroaching on other visitors space.
The toilets and showers are honestly spotless and all the reception staff and groundsmen alike are equally welcoming.
The shop is well stocked and buses both to the west (Poole) and to the east (Swanage) stop directly outside the site gates.
How the grass areas are so well kept not withstanding the amount of rain that we have had in the past two months beats me! I wish my poor excuse for a lawn looked as good.
The weather was unfortunately not so favourable. But nevertheless we had a few nice walks and a day in Poole.
We have saved Wareham and Swanage for another visit.
Will definitely be coming again.

Our first visit to this site. Excellent shower/toilet block. We had a beautiful pitch away from the main road. Yes, there was some traffic noise but you can see from Google maps that it’s close to two main road so noise is to be expected.
As previous reviewers have mentioned there’s a bus stop right outside which makes it great for people with motorhomes.
We found the wardens very friendly and the site is immaculate.
A lovely site.

We pitched our tent for a long weekend. The site is excellent in terms of facilities of which there are several wash blocks. The little shop at the entrance was very useful. Staff are so friendly.
The pitch size was great too. There was no noisy campers and we had a very good nights sleep.
Its not too far to Poole either.
It was a very good price too. We really enjoyed our stay and we will probably return.

This is a large, busy site. We had a good sized premium pitch which was fully serviced with a large gravel hardstanding for the caravan and awning. A TV connection and free wifi was available but not for streaming.
There are large industrial size washing machines and tumble dryers but only 2 for the whole site. We did not use the site showers etc as we used our own as it was quite a walk from the pitch to the nearest amenity block.
The shop is small, with some basics and camping accessories, daily papers and fresh bread, croissants etc. In my opinion for a site this big and nearly full when we were there it needs to be more like a mini supermarket, especially as there were so many motorhomes there and no shops or pubs within easy walking distance.
I did not see any fresh or frozen food or meals stocked. It was also only open between 9am and 7pm.
I found the site very noisy. Lots of dogs were being allowed to bark or yap constantly throughout the day. One day there were loud explosions in the distance from Lulworth where there is a military training base.
Our dogs were frightened to death and we couldn't get them to stop barking. These explosions went on till nearly midnight. We also had neighbours who thought it was okay to start packing up to leave at 5am making a right racket and they were not the only ones to leave this early.
The site gates aren't locked overnight so they are unable to prevent this and there is nothing in the site rules to forbid it. This seems extremely unfair to the other campers.
The roads around the area are really busy all the time and there is a fair amount of road noise from early morning too. Not a site if you want a quiet, restful holiday.
For an expensive site which requires you to pay in full weeks before you arrive I feel they could make more of an effort with their amenities and how they cater for all the retired motorhomers and caravanners who fill the site for them in September.
