Despite the cold and wet weather we had a good few days visiting Poole and Bournemouth
Nice welcome at the campsite, pitches of good size, well kept site but the only negative was the constant road noise from the A35 ( I don't know if it was because of the Easterly wind) but it was very loud ! The other things were the distance to toilets and the size of the showers, although very clean the actual size made it bit of a challenge to get dressed without getting your clothes wet from the floor and not a very big bench. On one visit it was very cold in the shower block.
The bus service from the site is very good, we travelled to Poole and Bournemouth on what must be one of the best services in a long time, very helpful drivers. We also visited St Peters Finger down the road ( didn't use path from site as very muddy) The food and service was VERY good and the prices were very reasonable

We were at this site last week & loved it! Top notch facilities, helpful staff, great for the dog & despite the very cold conditions we were able to enjoy it all. Being 'seniors' we made full use of the buses that stopped outside the site & visited Poole, Swanage & Weymouth. The pub down the road was good but we thought the meals were a bit overpriced. The craft centre around the corner was very interesting too. We will definitely be back!

We have just returned from our second stay this year at South Lytchett Manor Caravan and Camping Site.
As before, the welcome was very warm and helpful.
The modern toilet & shower facilities were immaculately clean, with loads of free hot water. The piped music in the shower and toilet block is a nice touch.
Free WIFI is a great bonus.
The washing up facilities are excellent and the microwave oven is handy for heating up meals.
Just outside the entrance gate is a bus stop with regular buses in and out of Poole or Swanage.
We thoroughly recommend this site to anyone visiting the area and we will certainly be returning.

It's quite difficult to find a good site that's open until the end of the year for long weekends and without having to travel too far. South Lytchett is a lovely, well kept site that has been recently upgraded and many pitches have hard standings and it's own Electricity, water and tv point. It also has free wi fi but unlike many sites that have it, this is transmitted around the site and available on your pitch. My connection was good but I couldn't say what it would be like on other pitches. Caravan club sites charge a fortune for this facility. The tv signal they provide is excellent so there's no faffing around with aerials. I couldn't fault the toilets but do tend to use our own facilities.
You can walk into Lytchett Minster where there's a good pub, The St Peters Finger that serves good food. The shop is pretty well stocked where you can order papers and a really nicely presented information centre where the owners have taken the time and trouble to make up various information folders. There's even a microwave for anyone to use.
The prices are very reasonable for the time of year but I probably wouldn't pay the mid and high season prices. We prefer to use Cl's in the main season anyway. Overall though a great site and one which we will be returning.

This is our second visit to this site within 6 weeks and we enjoyed ourselves just as much as the first time. Although I could book our pitch on line we are new to caravanning so phoned the site to book. Very friendly and efficient, email received within minutes of phoning outlining our booking.
The site is well maintained and we had a deluxe pitch on hardstanding which included EHU, TV connection and water. Free wifi throughout the site is a nice bonus. The staff work hard to ensure the site is clean and tidy especially during these autumnal months with all the leaves falling. As mentioned by many others the shower block is very clean, warm and has piped music.
We were able to use the dog exercise field and our 6 month old labrador puppy enjoyed freely running around, was kept on a lead of course elsewhere on campsite. The information hut has lots of hints and tips for places to visit to get the most from your visit next to which is the chicken run. Fresh eggs purchased from the site for breakfast, very nice.
We used our car to tour around but there is a bus top right outside the gate. The site is ideally placed and we visited Poole, Corfe Castle, Swanage, Sandbanks and Wimborne during our 5 day visit. We will return next year.

Excellent site in a beautiful part of the country. The facilities are 1st class and pitches are level and of a good size. We had a deluxe pitch which came with it's own picnic table and bench, lighting and dustbin although there are also plenty of bins for recycling items near the amenity blocks. No children with us so can't comment on the playground and we didn't use the laundry but everything looked good. The shop was well stocked with the basics, a small range of accessories and newspapers can be ordered. Some road noise and floodlights from the nearby school playing fields may be a nuisance to some but we didn't find them too bad. Free Wi-fi throughout the park is certainly a big plus. The staff were some of the most friendly and helpful we've come across on sites

This was our first visit loved the location what a beautiful site well maintained and the staff were excellent nothing being too much trouble. Lovely walks to take our dog on. My father-in-law is disabled and this was mentioned when booking we had the first pitch on the site near the facilities (brilliant).
The bus stop right outside the gate great advantage. The pub 10 mins walk excellent food.
Over all one of the best sites we have been to. We will definitely be back.

We have just returned from our very first stay at South Lytchett Manor Caravan and Camping site. We have had a wonderful stay in beautiful surroundings. We were given a warm welcome when we arrived on Friday evening and clearly directed to our pitch. The pitches are a great size and the majority appear to be on gravel, which is a plus. The whole site is impeccably clean and well maintained. We booked our stay following all of the positive reviews on this website and I have to say we were not disappointed at all. We only wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely book to stay in the new year. As all the other reviews mention we were given a voucher on arrival for a free bottle of wine when ordered with two main meals at the local pub. We decided to take advantage of this offer and we were really pleased we did. The pub St Peter's Finger was a really warm welcoming pub with great food. I would recommend you book a table to ensure you are not disappointed as it was busy. The site has a shop and games room and the toilets and showers were really clean and well cared for. Well done South Lytchett Manor, you really do work hard to provide a fantastic site, which you should be very proud of. Thank you.

Our first visit to this site.
Level hard standing pitches. Water tap right near by. Good TV and phone signal. Nice clean facilities. Shop within reception, but quite sparse at the time of our visit.
Dog friendly pub (St Peters Finger) within walking distance, very nice meals and staff.
There are walks straight from site.
We were on one of the pitches just as you enter the site and there was quite a bit of road noise here.

Obviously at this time of year the site was not at its best but the washroom/toilets etc. Are first class and the pitch (de lux) was a good size with all facilities. There is some road noise and also there is a school nearby and their all weather pitch is the other side of the fence. It is used in the evenings so the noise and floodlights can be a bit intrusive and of course the schoolkids are using it during the day.
The launderette needs tokens from reception and I thought it was expensive at £3. 75 a wash and £2. 40 a dry(40 mins). Excellent pub down the road (more like 15 min walk) and bus stop outside gate.
