Stayed for the first 2 weeks of September and couldn't believe how full the site was. Virtually every pitch full for both weeks which is a testament to the quality of the site. Extremely clean and well run site with spotless facilities. We were in the furthest field from the entrance which unfortunately has the smallest facilities block, most days if I went before 10 am they were full. Still who cares as I was on holiday so in no hurry. Staff brilliant as are both the local pubs. Eat several times in both and hard to choose between them. St Peter's Finger just edged it as I cheekily asked staff at the site shop for a freebie wine voucher everytime I knew we were going down to eat. Hard to fault the site as everywhere is so accessible from it, Poole is superb and bus outside takes you straight there. Top marks and will return.

A great site to explore East Dorset. Bournemouth, Poole, Wimborne,
Wantage, Corfe Castle, Swanage, Durdle Door to name a few, all within a 15 mile radius.
The site has very good amenities. Although the site was very busy I never had to wait for a shower cubicle and always had hot water and always spotless no matter what time you went.
The Site shop has all the necessities needed and was always well stocked. A very large site over 4 separated fields, each offering a different level of standard.
A very dog friendly site with a dedicated walking field. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Would recommend the local pub St Peter's Finger (10 min walk) Great food and friendly staff.
I would return and recommend this site to anyone.

We have just returned from 6 nights at this site and it was also our first ever time away in a caravan! Booking by phone was extremely helpful and when we mentioned that we had a baby with us they suggested a pitch next to one of the taps and close to the shower blocks.
When we arrived the staff were really helpful and after we mentioned that we had never been away before someone took us to our pitch and helped us reverse it in. We were in one of the pitches near the main entrance and shop and a bonus was we were in range of their free on site wi-fi!
The toilet blocks were spotless and clearly cleaned on a regular basis. The on site shop stocks most of your basic needs and also a range of local meats and eggs from their own on site chickens (they make a very good bacon and egg sandwich!).
On check in we were given a voucher for a free bottle of wine, or 2 pints, at the local pub (St Peters Finger) and the food there was excellent.
Overall a very good, well run, site and a credit to its owners.

Our first visit to South Lytchett Manor and we only chose this site at the very last minute because of rave reviews left here!
Overall impression was fantastic! Quite expensive, £175 for 5 nights, but you do get what you pay for!
Pitch was enormous, owners and staff bent over backwards to help in any way they could, great cafe just off site, fantastic location for beaches and attractions.
Bathroom facilities were good and clean. Loved the site's chicken coup and Labrador puppies!
We shall be staying at South Lytchett Manor again, if not this year then definitely next!

Cannot recommend this site more at all. Staff are friendly and welcoming, even going to fetch us some fresh eggs in the morning when there were none left. Shop has a good supply of everything you need and is not overpriced.
Bus stop right outside the campsite takes you to Poole bus station where it's a 15 minute walk to the quay through the town centre. We didn't try the route to Swanage but we will do next time.
Local pub within a walkable distance, food looked good but we didn't have any when we visited as we were sat outside and beseiged by mosquitoes. Lovely little village church on the way.
Facilities are an excellent standard. We were very happy here and will definitely be visiting again.

A regular visitor to Dorset so know the area well. Seen this site from afar and booked online. We arrived early and were met by the owner having her breakfast on the picnic benches whilst we were waiting to be given our pitch. The best toilets and showers we have ever seen - comparable to the best sites in France. Hot water all day - which is great for the dirty kids. The freezer blocks were a bit awkward as you can only access them twice a day - but we understood it was to save energy and ensure all the blocks sufficiently froze. A great shop selling local produce and bread. A big pitch that backed on to the cow field - which the kids loved. Lots of lovely walks round, but we always gravitate to Lulworth, West Bay and Lyme Regis. The village at Tyneham is worth a visit. The town of Poole and Bournemouth are not pretty, but if you want the regular shops - they're the places to go. Wareham is a nice town - lots of little independent shops. Monkey World and Bovington Tank Museum are worth a visit - probably do both in a day. If you want a base to visit round Dorset, you won't find better than this site. Excellent service and friendly staff. Thank you for a lovely trip x

We made a last minute booking and stayed for 3 nights. We received a warm welcome and were very impressed with the pitch sizes and spacing, also even in high season they were nice and grassy rather than muddy.
The toilet & shower facilities were excellent, modern and really clean with free hairdryers (not the most vital thing, but better than scraping around for 20p pieces).
Wash up area was also spotless, with bowls and drainers provided, and the cloths left at the sinks encouraged all campers to clean up after themselves.
Good family site, no noise while we were there, relaxed atmosphere.
St Peter's Finger is a good Hall & Woodhouse pub serving good food, but busy so you need to book.
We would definitely stay again.

Just returned from a 10 day break at this lovely campsite. As usual we were made to feel very welcome by the owners and all their brilliant staff.
The site is a credit to them all and shows how much hardwork they put into maintaining such a high standard, even at peak times in the holiday season.
The site is well laid out with a good mixture of grass, hardstandings and some super pitches too! The toilets and showers are always spotless and have set the standard in Dorset.
You won't find a better site in this area. We have been coming to this site since 1999 and have experienced all the improvements made during that time, culminating in all the awards received over the last few years.
Already looking forward to our next visit.

A well kept, clean and tidy site. Good facilities: convenience store, toilet and shower blocks. The showers were a dribble at times, however were adequate, not brilliant, but the blocks were always immaculately clean. The owners and all the staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help. There was a regular bus service from outside the gates. If you return late at night, the big entrance gates need a shove to open, don't panic when you return in the dark to find them shut. An excellent site, well worth a visit.

Just spent a week at South Lytchett Manor and found the site to be awesome. Spotlessly clean, friendly, helpful staff and the best showers ever.
The site has a chicken run and sells their own eggs in the shop, as well as a help yourself herb border.
The shop is very well stocked and there is a small games room with pool table etc for the older children.
This site is quiet and rural with just a short walk to the village and the lovely St Peters Finger Pub, for good food and a free bottle of wine care of the site voucher.
We enjoyed a day out at Corfe Castle (very pretty Village with fab castle) and then on to Swanage via the steam railway.
We would definitely recommend this site, you do get what you pay for.
