We visited this site for two nights in May 2012.
The reason we chose this site was it's proximity to Poole and the favouring reviews from other members.
We were not disappointed.
The on line booking procedure was very easy. The welcome and introduction to the site by the staff on arrival was warm and efficient.
The site is very well looked after and the shower and toilet facilities are probably the best we have experienced.
We will certainly use this site again if we are in the area and can thoroughly recommend this site to any prospective users.

We visited this site for a 6 night stay in mid May as a last minute decision to try a non club site and my wife and I were pleasantly surprised. First contact was really friendly and helpful and on arrival was equally so. We didn't like the pitch we were allocated as it was beneath a big tree but it was no trouble at all to sort us out with one that we were happy with. We settled in and explored the site (As one does) and were amazed at the level of thoughtfulness that had gone into it, nice little details like softened hot water, hand and body lotion and piped music to the spotlessly clean amenity blocks, there was even a microwave oven provided in the Information Centre. The site is really well maintained with generous sized pitches, many with their own water supply, bins and picnic tables. I could go on an on but the best way to experience it is to visit, we certainly will again. Great place to stay, our thanks to all the staff.

Nice welcome on arrival and very attentive staff.
Very good hardstanding pitch with water, electric and TV connection. Lovely site, very clean & tidy facilities including well stocked shop, games room, information room and for families a playground. Staff were continually maintaining the grounds to a very high standard.
Bus stop right outside gate to Poole or Swanage and beyond. Good pub a ten minute walk in village, free voucher redeemable for drinks with a main meal which was very good and reasonably priced.
Well worth another visit

This is our 3rd visit although first in our motorhome. The welcome that you receive is second to none. You actually feel like family. The shop is very well stocked, we always look forward to the fresh eggs.
As the buses stop right outside the gate we have no need to take the motorhome out. The pitches are an excellent size, and the whole site is so clean and tidy.
The showers, toilets, and wash up areas were always spotless. We will be returning again in August and have already recommended to several friends.

South Lytchett Manor have the best super pitches we have ever had the fortune to stay in, everything you need including picnic table and personal bin emptied for you on a very regular basis,
The shower block and amenities are modern, comfortable and spotless, a credit to the staff.
Talking of staff, they are the friendliest most helpful set of people you could come across, nothing too much trouble and always with so much cheer.
A well stocked shop, plenty of local information and a great pub within walking distance
The dog field is super, regularly mown and a bench to rest on if needed.
It is so obvious that a great deal of thought and attention has gone into the running of this site, nothing seems to be too much trouble

Liked this site and also the surrounding area. Friendly staff and toilets clean. Pitches have plenty of room and some have picnic benches. Never any queues for the toilets. Can't say about the showers as we don't use the showers on sites. The local pub, which you walk through the dog walkers field to get to, does nice food and if you go for dinner, you get a starter, main and pudding for a tenner. Saturday evening was rammed though so be warned.
Areas to visit are Durdle Door at Lulworth Cove. What a beautiful place. You'll think you're lost as you have to drive through a campsite but if you reach here you're going in the right direction. We also got the ferry to Brownsea Island. You pay to get on the island as it's National Trust, but some of the island is ran by Dorset Wildlife Trust so you have to pay again. We did, and we found the friendliest robin ever by the old villa, who ate out of our hands. How lovely! We also saw the infamous red squirrel.
If you want a lovely beach go to Sandbanks. We went there to get the ferry to the island as didn't want to get it from Poole as thought it was horrible there. Sandbanks is a lovely stretch of white beach and is a bit of 'snobsville' but it was lovely. All in all plenty of lovely places to visit in Dorset and a lovely site. Will definitely return at some point.

This is one impressive site, entering through the grand front gates you get the impression of a large, immaculately maintained caravan & camping park.
Reception is well laid out and stocked with everything you might need from your daily paper which needs to be ordered(at no extra charge), to groceries, eggs from their own chickens and a range of beers and wines etc. The reception staff were very helpful with site maps, nothing too much trouble.
Opposite was a large information room with all the attractions in the area shown. A mention here about the bus stop situated right outside the front gates which, for us being motorhomers, was very convenient with trips to swanage and poole among others.
We were directed to our pitch which had it's own water tap and aerial booster socket and your own picnic table, also the pitch itself is larger than most.
The St. Peters finger pub is just a short walk away and served good food at reasonable prices with a voucher from the site for a free bottle of wine with every two main meals purchased, can't be bad.
The facilities blocks were very up to date and very clean. All in all a very good site, which we will return to.

Have just returned from a fantastic Easter weekend at South Lytchett.
The wardens are all very friendly and helpful, nothing seemed to be too much trouble. There is an excellent cabin housing plenty of local information and again any questions were happily and knowledgeably answered by the staff in the shop.
We visited Tynham, Corfe castle and the local country park just down the road in Upton. All well worth a visit. In fact, whilst browsing the info on site, we were so spoilt for choices of places to visit with the dog we booked a return visit in the summer!
Despite the site being busy over the bank holiday we found it to be very peaceful and relaxed, didn't notice any road noise despite initial reservations about it's proximity.
The facilities are easily the most well kept of any site we have ever visited, spotless showers and toilets and regularly emptied dustbins. Loved the dog field, what a bonus for us, and our friends who have a puppy, to have somewhere to let the dogs off lead on site.
Can't rate this site highly enough.

Have just returned from a wonderful Easter stay. We stayed on the laurels and whilst the pitches aren't the cheapest they are probably the best we have ever stayed on. The whole site is immaculate, the staff the friendliest we have ever encountered.
The toilets and showers were very clean and we never had to wait at the times we chose to go.
I personally like the gravel as it slows the cars down and also means the kids on bikes/walking can hear the cars coming.
The girls only gripe was the playground wasn't great and not much bigger than we have at home but that wouldn't stop us going back.
On a final note the campsite organised an Easter egg hunt on Easter Sunday and a raffle. They raised over 200 pounds for the local children's hospice which they also give all proceeds of the chicken food too. The kids loved the Easter egg hunt, it was excellent and we felt that they were very generous with the prizes.

Just returned from a three night visit to South Lychett. And can't wait to go back!
On arrival we 'checked in' at the shop, and were shown to our pitch in Minsters Field. The pitch we had was massive (and have booked that one for our next visit!). Amenity block is directly opposite the field, everything there that you need. Ample toilets and showers, dish washing facilities, laundry and refuse/recycling. The site was busy when we were there and every time we went to use the loo/shower we never had to queue.
The site is spotless, can't fault it. Lovely little touches like cloths in the sinks so you can wipe up after yourself and the same in the dish washing area - bowl, drainer and cloth to wipe up afterwards.
Every time we had to pop into the shop to ask a question, the staff were really helpful, really friendly.
No question if we'll be going back, we've already booked in for May BH weekend with some friends.
